Studio Meng Strazzara is looking for an Intern Architect to join our team in Seattle.
What we’re looking for in an Intern Architect…
Someone who is creative, enthusiastic, confident, and self-motivated to do a good job. Someone who thrives in collaborative environments, but can also buckle down to meet a deadline. Someone who likes to solve problems, has a solid understanding of Revit, and wants to be heard as part of a small team. Someone with an eye for design, a love for sustainability, and a drive for success.
This Intern Architect position will play an integral role in our ongoing and future projects. Our small team has a varied portfolio, providing ample opportunities for team members to work on differing projects, gain experience in all project phases, and explore professional interests in a supportive environment.
The current COVID19 situation has created a lot of uncertainty in the market, but SMS is here to stay. As a Seattle-based firm founded in the late 70s, we’ve seen our share of ups and downs – and our diverse project types have enabled us to weather the storms. Things are a little strange right now, but we are an ambitious design firm and have room on our staff for someone that enjoys a challenge and can remain nimble as we navigate these unchartered waters.
Qualifications and traits:
- Professional degree in Architecture
- 2-3 years of experience in Architecture office, post-graduation
- REVIT & Sketch-Up proficiency
- Clear communication, both written and verbal
- Internal drive to do good work, in a team environment
- Desire to have ownership over tasks, stand out from the crowd, and unlimited career growth potential
