Project Architect

Our Project Architects participate in and lead our projects from design conception through construction administration.  This position simultaneously drives forward architectural design as well as focuses on the management of projects.  Our Project Architects are responsible for both our small and large projects as well as lead key phases of our complex scale work alongside fellow Architects and Interior Designers.  Daily duties include, but are not limited to: lead presentations for clients or city review boards, organize team tasks and provide guidance to junior staff, produce design development and construction documentation as well as schematic level studies using both hand sketch and graphic programs, quality control of presentations, document sets, and specifications.

Project Responsibilities and Personal Skills

·   Communication, verbal, written and graphic, between internal and external project team members

·   Capability to work on multiple, concurrent projects

·   Demonstrate judgement from ability to prioritize tasks to suggestions for project improvement

·   Play a strong role in the investigation and design of projects

·   Comfortable in navigating building and zoning codes

·   Ability to interact with governing agencies to obtain required project approvals

·   Capable of expressing project goals and coordinating efforts towards them

·   Draft specifications

·   Develop schedules

·   Produce convincing presentations to illustrate projects

·   Supervise and lead quality-control of project team

Requirements to Succeed:

·   Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture

·   Architectural licensure

·   Minimum 10 years work experience in an architectural firm

·   Knowledgeable in architectural drafting and detailing techniques

·   Strong design skills

·   Broad range of project type and construction type experience

·   Technical understanding of construction and processes

·   Demonstrated Revit experience

·   Have an interest in growing with the firm and being an essential part of a successful organization

·   Continually share expertise and knowledge within the firm as we consistently strive to improve the quality of our work

In aligning with efforts of Washington’s Safe Start program, our team is working from our Bellevue office or from home – a hybrid schedule allows project teams dedicated time at the office for project work sessions and client meetings and the flexibility to connect to the office from home on alternate days.
