Encore Architects seeks to add a talented, self-motivated Contract Administrator to our team in Seattle. This position is best suited to an architect who also has extensive contract administration experience and who is comfortable managing a multitude of tasks and responsibilities. While we currently need an Architect with strong CA experience, this position can expand out of that specific role and into our typical generalist architect position in the future. The ideal candidate will possess high-rise experience and a wide range of skills including: interacting with clients and contractors, observing construction on-site, detailing, verifying code requirements, time management and coordinating with various consultants.

Job Responsibilities:


o    Lead the construction administration project phase

o    Respond to RFIs and review submittals

o    Make site visits and provide Field Observations Reports

o    Capability to successfully establish, understand, and implement the project’s specific design intent from parti massing through technical detailing

o    Assist owner with preparation of Change Orders

o    Possess full knowledge of the industry’s best practice expectations and maintain procedures in concert with firm-wide documentation standards

o    Check for code compliance; coordinate with consultants and contractors

o    Provide collaborative, professional guidance to project staff

o    Provide a high-level of service and attention to our clients and stakeholders


Minimum Qualifications:


o    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture preferred

o    Architectural licensure is preferred

o    10-15+ years of experience

o    Extensive contract administration experience, specifically mid- and high-rise housing.

o    Strong technical skills

o    Proficiency using Revit is required
