About Us

We are an architecturally focused building envelope consulting firm based out of Seattle Washington. We provide the needed construction documents (drawings, specifications) and construction administration (including site inspections) for a wide range of new and existing construction projects. We have developed a practical and effective approach to ensuring the durability and sustainability of building design. We practice in Washington State, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, and California.

We are seeking someone who is:

·         High energy, very organized, takes the initiative to manage a project and get the team involved.

·         Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope.

·         Monitor and present project updates to clients, consultants and/or project team members.

·         Taking ownership of your position is critical. We are looking for a Leader!

 

Basic Qualifications

1.    Candidates should have around 10 years’ experience with a degree in architecture, engineering, or building sciences.  Professional registration is preferred but not required.

2.    Construction Experience:  – 7 years (Preferred), Project Management – 5 years (Preferred)

3.    Extensive experience and knowledge providing services on multifamily residential projects with wood frame construction.

4.    Strong technical abilities, including document review, preparation of drawings / detailing, coordination, and construction administration experience.

5.    Must have comprehensive knowledgeable in below-grade waterproofing, roofs, windows, doors, weather barriers, cladding systems, and balcony systems.

6.    Strong communication skills and the ability to use Microsoft Outlook and Word.

7.    Ability to use AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Word & Excel. Procore a plus.

8.    Applicant must reside in the Bay Area, or within 10 miles

AutoCAD abilities desirable as this position requires proficiency preparing drawings, with an emphasis on detail development and working as part of a team.

 

About the Responsibilities

o   Coordination between Project Managers, clients, consultants, and oversight of office production staff.

o   Provide accurate building envelope drawings for management that adheres to our office standards.

o   Review construction documents for building envelope related items, adequate detailing ability, and technical skills.

o   Work on multiple projects with multiple projects managers during a short period of time.

o   Communicate effectively with our multistate teams.

o   Consult on complex building enclosure projects providing leadership and expertise to exterior project teams.

o   Provide design documents for building enclosure projects, including technical specifications and detail drawings based on C2DG standards.

o   Maintain your schedule.

Additional responsibilities may include periodic Site Observations:

o   Attend site visits & window testing and provide accurate details of the event.

o   Some constructions administration including identifying mistakes on submittals from the client or contractor and advising ways to resolve the error. Always reporting to the respective Project Manager in this case to verify remarks are accurate and valid.

o   Provide exterior envelope consulting through site observations

o   Each site observation will require technical pictures and text report.

o   Required to schedule their site visits with the project teams.

o   Internally schedule and coordinate our testing teams as needed.

o   Must be comfortable working from heights, climb ladders and lift 50lbs
