Senior Technical Architect

SENIOR TECHNICAL ARCHITECT

Coates Design Architects is seeking an Architect with significant technical expertise as relates to codes, construction methods, detailing & constructability to join a collaborative, award-winning firm located on Bainbridge Island, WA. We are looking for enthusiastic self-starters, with an eye for modern design and a dedication to client service.  Our current projects include healthcare facilities, education projects, government facilities and custom residential homes.

Qualifications:

–          Licensed Architect in the state of Washington.

–          15+ years of experience in an architecture firm.

–          Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD and able to prepare complete plan sets on complex projects.

–          Experience with MS Office and related programs.

–          15+ or more years of experience producing construction documents and building permit submittals

–          Experience in making decisions and recommendations of a technical nature that are recognized as authoritative

–          LEED BD+C Accredited Professional.

–          Experience with high-performance building envelopes.

–          Experience in commercial projects- specifically hospitality / multi-family/ senior living or health care is preferred.
