Project Manager/Project Architect

Box and Gable Architects is a small, growing firm dedicated to thoughtful designs for functional living, practical construction, and the positive growth of our neighborhoods. Our project types include custom and speculative single-family residences, townhomes, cottages, and ADUs. Our project list is expanding, and we are excited to add passionate and talented team members that are eager to jump in and join the adventure!

We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager/Project Architect who can carry a project from start to finish. The ideal candidate is willing to be flexible with job tasks and open to growing with the firm. Individuals with a high sense of project ownership, great communication, and positive attitude are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities may include:

• Feasibility studies and zoning/building code research
• Design
• Coordination and communication with clients and consultants
• Construction Documents
• Permit submittals
• Construction Administration
• Guiding younger associates

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a residential architecture firm (preferably local)
• Confidence working directly with clients.
• Thorough knowledge of wood construction and building codes (IRC and IBC)
• Demonstrated knowledge of local zoning codes
• Proficiency in Revit, familiarity with AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Willingness to learn and work as a team

This position is for an independent contractor (1099-NEC) with the potential to become a full-time employee with benefits as we continue to grow.   We value the worth of our colleagues and are committed to competitive pay – this role ranges from $45/hr – $55/hr, based on experience and skill.  This is a remote position until further notice.
