The Opportunity

Bonewitz+Co is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our boutique team of Owner’s Representatives. This is an entry-level role designed for a detail-oriented professional eager to learn and grow. As part of our close-knit, dynamic team, you’ll gain exposure to all phases of capital project delivery—from initial idea through design, construction, and post-occupancy support. With coaching and mentorship from senior staff, you will gradually take on more responsibility and build the skills to advance into a Project Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

+ Support project managers and senior staff with day-to-day coordination, documentation, and reporting.

+ Schedule and coordinate project meetings.

+ Assist in preparing budgets, schedules, meeting minutes, and action item tracking.

+ Draft RFPs.

+ Help review proposals, bids, invoices, and project records.

+ Participate in project meetings and site visits to learn firsthand how projects are managed.

+ Conduct research (products, building systems, etc.) in support of PMs.

+ Coordinate end-to-end sourcing and procurement of furniture and equipment, and related tracking.

+ Set up and manage administration of organized project sites/files; manage document control processes through those sites.

+ Support deliverable production including document editorial review, formatting, production, and compilation.

+ Learn and use project management tools.

+ Handle varying tasks for multiple projects concurrently.

+ Work with virtual teams using organizational process assets (teleconferencing and videoconferencing). Will be expected to organize conference calls with project team members, track action items and notes, and facilitate resolution and follow up actions as needed within the project team.

+ Take initiative to contribute and grow your responsibilities as you gain experience.

Qualifications

+ Associate’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred; internships and equivalent experience considered).

+ 1 – 3 years of construction, design, or project support experience (education will be considered).

+ Proactive self-starter with the ability and desire to learn quickly and work both independently and as a collaborative team member.

+ Possess strong organization skills and attention to detail; has the capacity to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently while demonstrating ability to prioritize workload.

+ Able to handle ambiguity and drive things to completion with minimal oversight.

+ Solid analytical, organizational, problem-solving, presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

+ Possess intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic understanding of scheduling principles and software, or desire to learn, including Microsoft Project. Bluebeam, AutoCAD and sketch-up capabilities are a bonus.

+ Desire to learn new tools, processes, and industry practices.

+ Superior level of professionalism and discretion in all interactions, both internally and externally to the organization. Assumes ownership of quality and accuracy of own work.

+ Ability to travel (western Washington) and work non-standard hours when required.

+ Ability to work overtime when required.

Competitive Compensation and Benefits

+ Base Salary Range: $28.00 – $45.00 per hour (The advertised range is intended as a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as experience and expertise.)

+ Bonus Program: Eligible to participate in our bonus program, which is paid twice annually based on individual and company success.
