We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Architect Level II for our Seattle office. The ideal candidate is passionate about architecture, has a strong design sensibility, technical abilities, is a knowledgeable Revit user, and is looking for a place to grow into a team leader.

Bassetti strives to create cohesive project teams that will see large projects through from start to finish. A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, will be able to contribute design explorations that are consistent with the direction of the project, and have the technical skills to contribute to nearly all facets of a project.


The following activities are organized by experience levels. However, different levels of expertise will have various degrees of responsibilities within those activities. An employee shall demonstrate exemplary understanding and performance of the tasks listed below to be considered to meet the Level Specific Expectations listed.

Level II Specific Expectations – 6 years experience

  • Exhibit understanding of design concept and produce design studies to support that concept.
  • Generate technically proficient detailed solutions to architectural problems.
  • Prepare design and construction documents.
  • Review and comment on technical specifications.
  • Contribute to writing reports for feasibility analysis, master plans, and building condition assessments.
  • Review and provide comments on cost estimates and other consultants reports or documents.
  • Coordinate documentation with project team and consultants.
  • Provide primary construction administration services or assist the construction administration team which can include interface with owner, contractor, and consultants.

Level III Specific Expectations – 8+ years experience

  • All items listed above plus;
  • Provide technical leadership for architectural design portions of large complex projects.
  • Prepare and present design alternatives for a wide variety of program spaces on the most complex projects.
  • Review and comment on cost estimates and other consultant reports or documents on the most complex projects.
  • Coordinate documentation with internal project team and outside consultants on the largest and most complex projects.
  • Provide primary construction administration services or assist the construction administration team which can include interface with owner, contractor, and consultants.


  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent years of experience under a licensed Architect’s supervision.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a range of architectural skills.
  • Must be proficient with current version of Revit software.
  • Ability to work creatively in a collaborative environment during all phases of design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Smartsheets, eSpecs, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • LEED certification desirable, as well as demonstration of a strong understanding of sustainable design.
