SMR Architects is seeking to add an Architectural Staff person to our passionate, mission-based, and award-winning practice in Pioneer Square, Seattle.

Architectural Staff represent a vital part of our project teams and contribute greatly to our overall success. SMR supports NCARB’s Architectural Experience Program (AXP) and provides opportunities for staff to work on all phases and facets of projects of varying size, scope, and style. We encourage pursuit of licensure and provide access to Architecture Registration Exam (ARE) study material as well as assisting with covering the cost of exam fees and initial licensing period.

The ideal candidate has one to five (1 – 5) years’ work experience; is self-motivated; has excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and is committed to positively contributing to a strong and diverse community. Applicants should have experience with all phases of design, project documentation, and detailing as well as a basic understanding of building, land use, and energy codes. Candidates must have a working knowledge of Revit. Prior experience with multi-family housing, renovation, and historic preservation projects is highly desired.
