An Architectural Technical Designer/Architect with Amento Group will develop valuable architectural technical skills while gaining both on-site and studio experience. You will have the opportunity to collaborate on a variety of project types with experienced professionals representing multiple aspects of the construction industry and will be rewarded with unique and valuable insight into the realm of Building Enclosure Design.

We are seeking a Technical Designer/Architect with an emphasis on Construction Administration. The position involves approximately 75% Construction Administration and 25% Construction Document preparation/support. Experience in Construction Administration is required. Construction Administration includes, but is not limited to, exterior enclosure remediation projects for low-rise wood framed and high-rise mixed-use buildings.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERTISE:

  • BArch, MArch, Bachelor of Science in Architecture, or Equal.
  • Actively participated in and performed CA for a minimum of 1 year; has a minimum of 3 years-experience working under a Registered Architect.
  • Demonstrates experience in actively performing Construction Administration, including, but not limited to:
  1. Site observations and documentation.
  2. Reporting of site observations and discussions through timely written field reports.
  3. Active and timely communication and coordination with the following:  *Contractors, including direction to contractors.
    *Support Architectural Representative Team Members, including direction and delegation to Team Members.
    *Construction Management Team Members.
    *Clients and Association Managers.
    *Manufacturers and Distributer.
  4. Prepares ASIs and sketches.
  5. Responds to RFIs.
  6. Reviews submittals.
  7. Thinks critically and solves problems.
  8. Uses good judgment and analyzes risks.
  • Demonstrates sufficient knowledge of code, exterior enclosure assemblies, products, and manufacturers’ requirements. Understanding of construction practices in the greater Seattle area.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, Word, Excel, and Bluebeam.
