Mass Timber: Active Sustainable Logging Tour with NNRG

Visit an active ecological forestry timber harvest!

Participants will see modern logging at work in two stands — one older (80 to 90 years) and one younger (35 to 40 years) in ways that improve forest habitat and future timber yields. Tour leaders will discuss both the considerations for tree selection, as well as the kinds of products to be made from different categories of the harvested logs.
