SPARC: Affordable, Passive House, Multifamily Project Tour
Dan Whitmore will be holding tours of the Passive House Apartment Building; a 12-unit, 3-story, single-stair, multi-family project in southeast Seattle. The project is pursuing PHIUS and Energy Star certification, and using that as the path for energy code compliance. It will also use several advanced mechanical systems, including CO2-based heat pumps. 2024 Safety Assessment Program: WAsafe Building Safety Evaluator
The AIA Seattle Adaptation & Resilience Committee is hosting an online, eight-hour training (split into two half-days) on post-disaster building safety evaluation procedures and WAsafe, Washington State’s program for post-disaster volunteer responders.
