Committee Meeting: Urban Design Forum
Join AIA Seattle’s Urban Design Forum to meet Urban Design experts, know about the latest Urban Design programs and initiatives in the city and join an advocacy group for Urban Design in the Puget Sound Region. Join our meetings for a monthly look at our plans and goals as a committee, taking place every fourth Wednesday at 12pm.
We’ll be exploring questions such as: How are the region and the city urbanizing—and how should they be? Who is moving into the city, and who is being displaced? Can gentrification be inclusive and equitable? How is technology transforming mobility? What are the short-, medium-, and long-term visions for making downtown Seattle a vibrant core for residents and visitors alike? What does it mean for Seattle to host global events like the FIFA World Cup, and how can these moments shape the city’s future? How can Seattle better connect the city to a new, dynamic, and vibrant waterfront?
Anyone with thoughts on topics, speakers, or specific curiosities related to urban design in our region is welcome to join us and help shape the focus of the upcoming forums in 2026.
