COHO: Volunteer Day with Eggrolls in the CID

Join the Committee on Homelessness for an opportunity to meet up and volunteer together, and to get to know members of an organization that have been providing important mutual aid to unhoused people in the CID.
Eggrolls is a Mutual Aid group that serves free meals in the CID. Since 2018, the owner of Chu Minh Tofu and Vegan Deli and a core group of volunteers–who call themselves “the Eggrolls”–have been organizing meals and aid for those in need.
When: Sunday, April 19, 10:30am to 2:00pm
Location: ICHS: 720 8th Ave S, directly across the street from the International District branch of the Seattle Public Library
How to sign-up: Contact coho@aiaseattle.org to express your interest.
Prep: Food handlers permits are preferred for all volunteers. These can be received online after taking a course that lasts about an hour. Find that course here. The $10 cost of the food handlers permit can be reimbursed by Eggrolls here.
Accessibility: This event is held outside, and there should be a variety of ways to help volunteer, so should be accessible. However, feel free to reach out to committee cochairs for more information.
