POSTPONED - YAF + COTE: International Arrivals Facility @ Seatac Airport
**Due to unforeseen issues with the Port of Seattle, this tour is postponed until further notice.
What: YAF + COTE | International Arrivals Facility @ Seatac Airport
Join YAF and COTE for a virtual construction tour of the International Arrivals Facility at SEA Airport. The project team will present the collaborative design, construction process, and design approaches such as sustainability strategies, well-being and sense of place that shaped this unique and complex project. The project includes a new hall and customs facility for Customs & Border Protection, an iconic aerial walkway connecting gates at South Satellite, and a new sterile corridor for international passengers from eight gates on Concourse A. The facility will double the airport’s capacity to handle the increasing number of international flights and destinations over the next 25 years, enhance the international passenger experience, and position the Puget Sound region as a leading tourism and business gateway for the traveling public.
This virtual program is presented with full closed captioning by AIA Seattle’s Committee on the Environment and Young Architects Forum. Please note on your registration if you would like to be contacted regarding specific accommodations to fully participate in this program.
