2018 UW Runstad Fellows - Ubuntu: I Am Because We Are

Ubuntu is a South African philosophy that declares our own well-being is tied to the well-being of others and the shared responsibility of our community is what binds us together and makes us human. The 2018 UW Runstad fellows will share discoveries from their study in Cape Town and Johannesburg and how the lens of race and social justice shows up in the built environment in aspects of informality, civicness, affordability, and climate change.

This program is presented free of charge by the 2018 University of Washington Runstad Fellows, as part of the 2018 Seattle Design Festival.
