SPARC: Methow Valley Architecture Tour
Join the Small Practice and Residential Committee (SPARC) for a tour of projects in the Methow Valley, WA
The Methow Valley Architecture Tour will celebrate the unique aspects of design and construction in this area of Washington, particularly regarding the climate, culture and natural beauty of the area. Learning objectives will emphasize climate resilience, human health and comfort and biophilic design.
Tour will feature 6 projects throughout Twisp, Mazama and Winthrop, Washington. Exact itinerary will be provided to attendees closer to the date. Attendees should be prepared to remove their shoes if asked.
Lunch will be provided during the tour. The fee for this program helps to cover the cost of lunch. An optional networking dinner will follow the tour at attendees’ own expense.
The tour will be all day Saturday, 8am-5:30pm (not including networking dinner). Attendees are encouraged to stay over in the area Friday and Saturday. Accommodations in the Methow Valley are filling up fast for this weekend so book your lodging ASAP.
A block of rooms have been set aside at Sun Mountain Lodge, under SPARC / Carrie Anderson. Call before 4/10 to make your reservation. After 4/10 these rooms will be released.
Numerous other accommodation options are available in the area. Tour organizers will be available to assist attendees in identifying options.
