SPARC: Affordable, Passive House, Multifamily Project Tour

Dan Whitmore will be holding tours of the Passive House Apartment Building; a 12-unit, 3-story, single-stair, multi-family project in southeast Seattle. The project is pursuing PHIUS and Energy Star certification, and using that as the path for energy code compliance. It will also use several advanced mechanical systems, including CO2-based heat pumps.  Additionally, it is going beyond Seattle’s mandated number of affordable units as its investors are accepting reduced profits in order to provide more quality, stable, neighborhood housing.
