CANCELLED - Committee Meeting: Design & Wellbeing
**The May Design & Wellbeing meeting is cancelled.**
“To our committee members and AIA community: We apologize for the radio silence from our committee during this difficult time – like so many of you, we have been dealing with the changing circumstances on a day by day basis and the leadership responsibility to our members fell off as we tended to our immediate concerns. We have met several times to brainstorm about how to continue with meetings and learning events while we are all still at home, but each time we come up empty-handed and feeling more exhausted than encouraged. While this time is ripe for us to examine the effects of space on health and wellbeing and we see so many jumping at the chance to have these conversations, our committee doesn’t feel prepared to be a host for the topic at the moment. We are giving ourselves permission to step away and come back once we can refocus our efforts on giving back to the membership community in a meaningful way.
We will be cancelling our May and June meetings, while tentatively planning to resume meeting in July at the Center for Architecture and Design during our regularly scheduled time. We will be using the next 2 months to continue working on ideas for future events and ways to expand our committee. In that time, we ask that you contribute to online doc we have set up as a repository for ideas, articles and contacts. AIA DWB LINK
Stay safe – Rachel + Julie”
AIA Seattle members, allied members, and sponsors are encouraged to join, as well as professionals in the design community.
