AIA NWW: WSEC-C Code Changes Webinar

Join AIA NWW section and learn about upcoming WSEC-C code changes.

Review changes from the 2018 to the 2021 edition of the Commercial Washington State Energy Code (WSEC). The background behind many of the changes will be discussed to provide participants with an understanding of the intent of the changes and how to apply it to their everyday work.

Presenter Bios

Our presenters for this 4-hour webinar are Lisa Rosenow, Director of Energy Code Services at Evergreen Technology Consulting (ETC) and Duane Lewellen, President of Lewellen Associates LLC, who provides on-call tech support services for ETC.

Lisa manages the technical support services program for the commercial WSEC for NEEA’s Codes and Standards program. She has been in this role since 2011. Prior to her involvement with the WSEC, Lisa was a mechanical engineering designer for 15 years. She is recognized as an industry expert for the commercial WSEC, delivering educational content, resources and technical tools to promote energy conservation. She is also the project team manager and lead administrator for the WSEC commercial compliance documentation webtool. She is involved with energy code development and participated as a voting member of the WA State Building Code Council (SBCC) Technical Advisory Committee for the 2015, 2018 and 2021 WSEC. Lisa has a BSME and is a certified Sustainable Building Advisor.

Lewellen Associates is an energy efficiency consulting firm founded in 2013. Prior to working as a private consultant, Duane Lewellen was a principal for 21 years at Rice Group Inc, a mechanical consulting engineering firm. He is recognized as an industry expert for the WSEC and has experience providing energy efficiency related education and training for over 25 years. He is a key member of ETC’s WSEC-C technical support services team providing energy code trainings and technical advisement. He is involved with energy code development and participated as a voting member of the WA State Building Code Council Technical Advisory Committee for the 2009 & 2012 WSEC. Duane is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED Accredited BD+C and is a LEED GBCI Credit Reviewer ID+C.
