Design & Wellbeing Committee

The Design & Wellbeing Committee focuses on improving health and wellbeing through the design of the built environment.

Design & Wellbeing meets on the first Thursday of the month at 5pm at AIA Seattle. To receive upcoming meeting and event details, subscribe to our email list. AIA Seattle members, allied members and sponsors are encouraged to join as well as other professionals in the design community.

PURPOSE: Improve health and wellbeing through the design of the built environment.

MISSION: We intend to engage thought leadership across various disciplines, leveraging this knowledge to inform all scales of design as they address human health and wellbeing. We aim to understand shifting attitudes toward technology, development, community and the environment while bringing awareness to public health challenges within those areas of societal growth. We seek to promote the role architects, builders, developers and other industry leaders play in the connection between design and wellbeing.

The Design & Wellbeing Committee serves AIA Seattle’s Profession vision.
