Leadership Advances our Vision

In the weeks ahead, voting will open for the 2025-26 AIA Seattle Board of Directors, who inform the strategic direction and health of our chapter. Thank you to all our members who nominated themselves or their peers for Board service, and to our Member Advancement Committee who met with many candidates to support a slate of strong member leaders.

Update – AIA Seattle Real Estate Search

The AIA Seattle Board of Directors continues the multi-year process of identifying a space for AIA Seattle. The two taskforces who have supported this work include member practitioners with multidisciplinary expertise, at a variety of career stages, dedicated to finding a space to support the mission, vision, and values of AIA Seattle. AIA Seattle is in active negotiations for multiple potential spaces identified based on member and board developed criteria shared in past communications.

Center for Architecture & Design partners informed AIA Seattle in 2023 they could not renew the lease at 1010 Western Ave after 10 years of occupancy. AIA Seattle remains in collaboration and partnership with Seattle Architecture Foundation, who have launched a new waterfront tour, and AIA WA Council, who recently completed robust advocacy work in Olympia during the 2025 legislative session.
