Minority and Women's Business Enterprise Certification Fair

University of Washington Capitol Projects Office and the AIA Seattle Diversity Roundtable present:

Minority and Women's Business Enterprise
CERTIFICATION FAIR FOR ARCHITECTS AND ENGINEERS

If your architectural or engineering (AE) firm is minority-owned or women-owned and you are not yet certified by the state and federal governments, this is your chance to learn how to become certified.  With federal stimulus funding coming online, this is the perfect time to explore certification.

Vicky Schiantarelli of the Washington State Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises (OMWBE) will be available to discuss the process used to become certified by the state as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) or a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) and how to become certified by the federal government as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE).

For over twenty-two years, Vicky has served as a technical expert/manager in certification, contracts administration, diversity programs, investigations, and strategic planning for five state agencies.  She is the recipient of the 2007 Northwest Minority Supplier Development Council Champion Award and the Urban League’s CDCC 2007 Walle Ralkowski Award for her dedication and commitment to diversity in contracting.
