William R Strong FSMPS, CPSM, Associate AIA | Bill Strong Consulting
Bill specializes in helping architecture, engineering and construction firms with strategic planning, marketing and business development, communication training for technical staff, coaching and mentoring marketing personnel, client perception surveys, and client care programs. Bill has over 43 years of experience for architectural firms. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kansas State University and his Masters in Public Relations and Marketing from the University of Missouri. Bill has been a member of AIA since 1973 and SMPS since 1982 gaining his Fellow status in1999. He has repeatedly presented at conventions and seminars for organizations locally, regionally, and nationally.

Speaker Bios:

Lesley Bain, FAIA | Principal, Framework
Lesley Bain is a Northwest native and a passionate advocate for public space, walkable cities, buildings that support communities and culture, and new models for urban life. Lesley received her Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania in 1988, during the tenure of  Lee Copeland as Dean of the Graduate School of Fine Arts. After working on the East Coast for a number of years, Lesley settled into Seattle life and worked at Weinstein Copeland Architects (now Weinstein A|U) for  17 years. In 2013 she founded Framework Cultural Placemaking with colleague Jenny Kempson. The firm is fundamentally multi-disciplinary, with people and culture at the heart of design. Framework is working with many of Seattle’s neighborhoods on public realm planning and design, and they were one of four teams nationwide to create a plan for Kendall Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Keasa Jones | Senior Associate, SRG Partnership
Keas a brings a dedication to creating buildings and spaces that are successful, beautiful, and enjoyable for the people who use them. Her focus is on understanding the fundamental principles that make spaces function properly and efficiently in order to bring benefit to the building from the beginning of the project. Her strength is in transforming the client’s goals into spaces that are reflective of their particular visions.

Julia Nagele | Principal, Hewitt
Building upon a diverse background of private development, higher education, performing arts, and public works, Julia Nagele’s design practice focuses on high-density, urban mixed-use projects where her aesthetic balances urban design with community building to create value for the living experience. Julia galvanizes project teams in the pursuit of client goals by encouraging imagination and challenging conventional design ideas to deliver buildings that uplift their surroundings.

JoAnn Hindmarsh Wilcox, AIA| Principal, Mahlum
JoAnn Hindmarsh Wilcox is an Associate Principal and Lead Designer for the K-12 Studio at Mahlum. Designing buildings that support student life, her practice highlights a quiet sensitivity to place, craft and people. Her work has been recognized at the local, regional and national level, including honors from CEFPI, AIA and the national AIA CAE. JoAnn graduated with highest honors from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute with degrees in Architecture and Building Science, and is a registered architect in Washington.
